Every day in America, a statistical horror story is written:
•
1,000 unwed teenage girls become mothers
•
500 adolescents begin using drugs
•
135,000 kids bring a gun or other weapon to school
•
3,610 teens are assaulted
•
80 teens are raped
•
2,200 teens drop out of high school
•
7 kids (ages 10-19) are murdered
•
7 juveniles (age 17 and under) are arrested for murder
•
6 teens commit suicide
Regional averages mirror that of the nation and are indicative
of a growing problem. We at Vertical are striking back and
desire to change these statistics. We believe that if we
can reach these kids by age 12, we won't have to rescue them
at age 21.
This is the philosophy of Vertical.
